Responsibility for compliance with labor laws becomes more expensive

Beginning from this week the liability for violation of labor laws has been made more severe, said the publication Business.

Law № 4714-VI of May 17, 2012 is amending the Article 41 of the Code of Administrative Offences, which includes now officials’ liability for disorderly behaviour or failure to meet a date of the certification at workplaces for compliance with the relevant labour conditions. A fine for such violations is 30 – 100 untaxed minimum incomes of citizens (510 UAH – 1700 UAH).

Similar sanctions are applied for failure to meet a date of providing employees, including former ones, with the documents containing the information necessary for obtaining pensions and for the inaccuracy of such information.

Law № 4837-VI of May 24, 2012 increases the penalties for violation of the law on labor protection: 4 – 10 untaxed minimum incomes (68 UAH – 170 UAH), for officials – 20 – 40 untaxed minimum incomes (340 UAH – 680 UAH).

Violation of the order of informing about an accident is now punishable by a fine for the responsible officials of 20 – 50 non-taxable minimums (340 UAH – 850 UAH).
