The leading participants of Ukrainian Fashion Week will take part in the project Uzhgorod Fashion Day on May 4. There will be presented collections of clothes and accessories prêt-a-porter and prêt-a-porter de luxe.
Uzhgorod Fashion Day is planned to be conducted from time to time, twice a year, according to organizers. The popularization of the nation’s fashion and its producers is the main goal of the event.
‘Uzhgorod Fashion Day’ is the region-wide cultural event, which may eventually turn into a commercial like elsewhere in the world. Event is planned as the national analogue of annual weeks of ‘pret-a-porter’, which are held in Kiev, Moscow, Paris, Milan, London, New York and other capitals. It is the incentive for designers to produce new clothes not occasionally but systematically in accordance with the development of new trends and styles.
The project’s aim is the creation of the competitive fashion center of European level with the entire accompanying infrastructure and the promotion of light industry in Uzhgorod, but the support of new designers and implementation of the famous European designer brands on the Ukrainian markets is the main idea.
Uzhgorod Fashion Day will be held in the lobby of the regional Music and Drama Theatre, which will be specially equipped for the fashion show. The press conferences with leading designers visiting Uzhgorod will be held for journalists.
The organizer of Uzhgorod Fashion Day is the international model agency ‘One Models Agency’. The models of this agency will present the latest clothes collections of Ukrainian designers.
