Today, the gas supply system operation department and the emergency dispatch service of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC eliminated two accidents that occurred in villages of Uzhgorod district – Mynai and Lintsi.
According to the head of the department Zinovy Stetskiv, both accidents occured as a result of earthworks for water supply arrangement. In both cases, the accidents were localized and eliminated. No one was hurt. Currently, one consumer in Mynai and the school in the village of Lintsi are without gas supply.
The "Zakarpathaz" warns: unauthorized intervention in the gas supply system and gas appliances by persons, who are not experts, can lead to accidents and even deaths. Any works related to potential damage to the gas networks must be coordinated with employees of the "Zakarpathaz" and representatives of local authorities. Unauthorized interventions in gas supply system, as well as performance of works by unskilled workers often occur with gross violations of safety rules.
