“Zakarpathaz” informs about the danger of dry grass burning near gas pipelines

In order to prevent damaging and destruction of gas pipelines and structures on them and to ensure the reliable and safe operation of gas supply systems, the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC reminds consumers of natural gas about the basic rules of fire safety, which must be followed by landowners during the operation of their facilities. 

The "Zakarpatgaz" PJSC asks not to use the harmful practice of dry grass burning during cleaning, to pay attention to the observance of the rules of fire safety in places of recreation, especially, in the areas within the safety zones of the gas distribution system. 

"In case of detecting sources of fire near gas pipelines and structures, immediately call the "Zakarpathaz" emergency and dispatcher service at 104. People, that deliberately burn dry grass, for example, to clean the territory, pose particular danger. Such senseless actions not only harm the environment, but also very often turn into uncontrolled fire, which can destroy buildings and structures of the residential sector," – Victor Vodzinsky, the Chief Engineer of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC said. – In addition, it should be borne in mind that the above actions are subject to Art. 77-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses". 

In order to prevent the occurrence of such fires, the "Zakarpathaz" appeal to all residents of the region asking not to burn dry grass, shrubs and all kinds of junk and observe basic safety rules while staying outdoors, in summer cottage, private residential sector.
