Young Transcarpathian is the winner of the Hero-Rescuer of the Year Award

Today, the solemn awarding of the winners of the "Hero-Rescuer of the Year" award took place in Kyiv in the Mariinsky Palace.

12-year-old Sophia Rozniychuk was awarded the title of Hero-Rescuer.

She’s only 12, and she’s already a Hero. The young Transcarpathian from a remote Hutsul village in Rakhiv region in November last year showed extraordinary courage. The girl carried her three younger siblings out of the burning house.

On the day of the professional holiday Day of Rescuer, in the Mariinsky Palace, Sofia received her well-deserved award – the title of the Hero-Rescuer.
