President Viktor Yanukovych invited the leadership of the Parliament and the deputy factions to discuss the situation that emerged in the Verkhovna Rada.
This was informed by ‘Interfax-Ukraine’ with the reference to Yanukovych’s press secretary Darka Chepak.
‘The President invited the leadership of the Parliament and factions at 11.30 a.m. – she said.
‘In connection with this, the President’s press conference was postponed. The time and date will be announced additionally’ – said Chepak. According to the presidential administration, the meeting will be held without the press. The Head of the Supreme Soviet Volodymyr Lytvyn and the Deputy Speaker of Verkhovna Rada Mykola Tomenko handed in resignation at the morning meeting on Wednesday.
