The Ministry of Energy facilitated in resolving the issue of supply of liquefied gas for the population of Transcarpathia
As reported, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Valeriy Lunchenko sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk about the situation with provision of liquid gas for domestic use in the region. The letter referred to the significant decrease in the supply of liquefied natural gas bought at the specialized auction to Transcarpathia.
So the head of the region Valeriy Lunchenko asked the head of the Government to order the relevant central executive authorities to positively resolve the issue of liquefied gas supply to Transcarpathia.
In view of the relevance of the problem, the Ministry of Energy has developed the ways to overcome it. Thus, according the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Yuriy Prodan, on June 12, 2014, they appointed a tender to determine the exchange for the organization and conduct of auctions for sale of crude oil, gas condensate of domestic production and a tender to determine the exchange for the organization and conduct of auctions for sale of liquefied gas, including specialized auctions for sale of liquefied natural gas for households.
In addition, "to ensure proper sale of liquefied natural gas for households and transparency of specialized auctions for sale thereof, the Ministry of Energy developed a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On amendments to the organization and conduct of exchange auctions for sale of crude oil and gas condensate of domestic production and LNG", – the letter of the minister states.
