What currency is better for keeping savings

Ukrainians should keep their savings in three currencies – UAH, USD and EUR.

This opinion was expressed by a former Minister of Economy of Ukraine Viktor Suslov while chatting on "Glavred".

According to him, "citizens should not attempt to speculate on the exchange rate."

"Therefore, savings can be divided into equal parts – in hryvnias, dollars and euros. And in the case of currency fluctuations you will lose in one currency on average as much as gain in another one" – Suslov advised.

However, the expert is convinced that Ukrainian citizens currently keep their savings in banks in exactly that way, half in hryvnia, half – in foreign currency.
