“We don’t have much time,” – Robert Horvath

The key person in the government of Ukraine has finally changed. The former speaker Volodymyr Groisman has replaced Arseniy Yatsenyuk as the Prime Minister. Experts habe been talking about this development for more than a month, MP Robert Horvat also talked about this in his interview to the Uzhgorod.in.

Today he comments on the latest developments:

– Nothing extraordinary has happened – a natural change. We can discuss the process. The agreement with the Front of Changes was necessary in order to calm down eager candidates, who wanted extraordinary elections, and thus chaos. So we had to negotiate, and this process is not new in any country! We made it. Despite the cries of "complainers", we need to admit: there was the necessary number of votes. Yes, not all appointments in the Cabinet are efficient and effective. However, I am sure that the coordinator and manager as Volodomyr Groisman proved to be (in Vinnytsia and in Kyiv) – resolute, principled, set to work – is capable to start reforms in 1,5-2 months.

– And there is no other way. If there are no real reform by autumn, we are doomed to new elections, to say the least… Business should feel comfortable.   The government must create convenient conditions for business, investors, show its willingness to reform. Without business and economy, we are doomed to living on loans. We can not rely on help from others – we must start making money. A business ensures payment to the budget, increase of social standards. In this sense, a successful business will be more patriotic than many slogans and campaigns.

– I believe that now the Cabinet of Ministers, Parliamentary Committees and the Parliament itself will finally start working in unison. And we have enough professionals who can produce new and needed laws. We expect changes and are working hard to make them come!
