"For the past three days, due to the arrival of warm air mass from the Mediterranean, warm weather with low precipitation rate has been prevailing in Transcarpathia. However, from 1 to 4 of February, weather in the region will be determined by cyclonic processes and passage of frontal sections. On February 1-2, rain is expected, on February 3 – mostly heavy rains, wet snow and snow in the highlands, in the evening of the 3rd and at night on February 4 – with transition to wet snow and snow, in some places – snowstorms. Minimum temperatures during this period will be 0 to +5°, on the night of February 4, the temperature will drop to 1-6 ° C. In the mountains, complex deposits will be formed, sometimes sleet, the roads of most of the region will be covered with ice", – the Transcarpathian Regional Center on Hydrometeorology reported.

During February 1-3, as a result of snow melting and heavy rainfall, rise of water levels in Transcarpathian rivers is expected. The most difficult flood situation is expected on the rivers of the western and central parts of the region. As a result of soil waterlogging, there may be landslides in some places.
