In Hungary, Christmas Eve is celebrated on December 24. So, like in other European countries, they organize Christmas fair long before the holiday. That is, its start almost a month before Christmas. But festive mood reaches its peak on the very holiday. It’s not always you have a chance to visit the festive event. But at least, you can feel the mood in the online space.
Holiday fair in Debrecen, the second populous city of Hungary, is fantastic. Sellers at stalls offer a variety of products, from food to clothing. Want something to eat? You’ve got it: Hungarian sausages, baked potatoes, meat for every taste, sweets, bagels. If you want something to drink, you’ve got Hungarian palinka, mulled wine (orange, strawberry, spices), tea, hot chocolate. Or, maybe, you want to buy a souvenir? No problem: key chains, prints, sweaters, shawls, porcelain, jewelry, and even bags. Everything for visitors, regardless of age and preferences.
Even specially lit trams contribute to festive mood! Overall, it is an unforgettable experience as it should be, the only problem is that there is not enough snow in Debrecen now.
