Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library once again destroyed the stereotype about libraries, the chief librarian of the service department Yevhenia Napuda informed,
Modern librarians and famous Uzhgorod DJs organized thematic vinyl party "Round Sound in the Library-2".
This spring, the vinyl disco was held within the project "Future should be planned" that is implemented by the library in cooperation with the Foundation "Center of Public Initiatives". The library project was supported by the author of the "Round Sound" idea, radio host, film director and DJ Oleksiy Umansky.
During 4 hours, the reading room atmosphere was full of musical compositions from vinyl records. 4 DJs: DJ Junior, DJ Johan, DJ Bury and DJ Yamaisky made Uzhgorod youth dance with interesting selection of vinyl records.
Anyone could get registered at the library and receive a library card. In addition, librarians conducted introduction tours of the library funds and were actively distributed contraceptives and information materials on family planning provided by the program "Women’s Health in Ukraine."
"I have never been in your library. Now I realize that I missed a lot. I was impressed by the selection of publications on art. Now I will be your frequent visitor!" – party guest Slava shares his expirience.
"I said it last year, and I repeat – our librarians are the most beautiful! And the most progressive and active))" – Katya and Lina wrote on their pages in social networks.
Companionship, quality leisure, raising awareness about important topics in an unconventional way in the library once again prove that library is a modern space for people, where a variety of useful and interesting ideas and projects are brought to life.
