Uzhgorod waste treatment was assigned to “AVE”

Collection and disposal of solid waste in the regional center will be carried out by the long-awaited "AVE". The city at last conducted the tender to determine a company that will be responsible for Uzhgorod waste as of January 1, 2013.
Interestingly, the firm will have a local residence and will be called "AVE Uzhgorod". As the Head of the Improvement Department of Uzhgorod City Council Oleksandra Turyanchyk explained in the commentary to the municipal newspaper, the main focus of the company’s activity in the city during the year is the implementation of selective collection of solid waste. The company plans to replace all existing containers, change their location, import five thousand containers with a capacity of 1.1 cubic meters and about 4 thousand containers for serving individual dwelling, – said the expert.
One of the most interesting questions is how many people will be paying for such services. As Mayor Victor Pogorelov noted in the comments to uzhgorod.in, they had agreed that the company would not raise rates for at least a year.   Victor Pogorelov also emphasized that the results of the competition have yet to be approved at the city council.
