Uzhgorod Skansen also invites to the Day and Night of Museums (ANNOUNCEMENT)

Following the main museum of the region – the Transcarpathian Local Lore Museum – Uzhgorod Skansen is preparing its own program on the occasion of the holiday.

Thus, the Transcarpathian Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life for the third time joins the "Night of Museums" international event, which is usually timed to the International Museums Day.

The program of the events, which will take place on May 19, can be divided into two parts: day and night.

The events on the territory of the museum will begin at 12.30 AM with the fest in the framework of the SLOBODA KULT, which will be held in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo from May 15 to 29.

In the evening program "Transcarpathian Wedding", a show of the traditional Transcarpathian costumes, a night excursion and a concert in the center of the museum village. More information about the holiday program can be found below:

12.30 – 17.00 – SCIENTIFIC FEST in the framework of the SLOBODA KULT.

19.00 – 21.00 – "Transcarpathian Wedding" performed by the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir (head Natalia Petiy-Potapchuk).

21.00 – 21.40 – performances by Kharkiv groups "Muravskyi shlyakh" and "Farby".

21.00 – "Transcarpathian Charms" (lecture-excursion on love magic).

21.40 – 22.40 – Show of the traditional folk costumes (with the participation of students-historians of UzhNU, Honored Academic Transcarpathian folk choir and folk project "Vidnova").

22.40 – 00.00 – Presentation by the group "Trystavisim".

On the territory of the museum:

– presentation and tasting of Transcarpathian ecoproducts from the ecomarket "Taste of the Ukrainian Carpathians".

– master classes on the blacksmith craftsmanship from "Free Transcarpathian Smithy".
