October 13, at 19.00, the first ever mass "Night Run" will be held in Uzhgorod.
Organizers of the event are a cycling activist Vita Munchak, a comedian Valery Myteyko and the Vice Rector of UzhNU Fedir Sandor. Inspired by the European experience, they decided to start another healthy trend, this time under the slogan "Light Your Night". The organizers got off of their bikes and call everyone for the night jog. "You are only required to wear appropriate clothing, take as many light reflective elements as possible and a small radio" – the organizers of the "Night Ride" wrote on their page.
The registration costs only 2.30 UAH (maybe it will become a protest against rise in prices for public transport). For this fee, each athlete will receive a partipant’s number, diet biscuits and water.
They will start from Teatralna square (which is also a place of gathering). Then, they will run along Kyivska embankment, cross the Masaryk bridge, Nezalezhnist embankment, Korzo and Voloshin streets and finish at the Transcarpathian Regional Puppet Theater "Bavka"(Teatralna sq.).
In the future, the "Night Run" will become a running club. And this Sunday, there will be the first "Night Run", so far unusual for Transcarpathia event, which, we hope, will be as popular as the "Night Ride".
