Recently, in the village of Rozivka in Uzhgorod district, traffic policemen during the inspection of the taxi "Daewoo", detected signs of intoxication of the driver, although it was only 10:00 am. According to the law, traffic policemen made a protocol on administrative offense against the driver and banned him from further driving.
As it turned out, during 2010 – 2011, this driver has four times been detained by traffic police for driving wihile being intoxicated. In addition, on June 26 last year in the village of Pidhorb in Uzhgorod district the said driver lost control of his "taxi" and injured two pedestrians who were on the side of the road.
Given that such offenses have a negative impact on passengers’ safety, traffic policemen of Transcarpathia reported this fact to the Transport Inspectorate of Ukraine and the prosecutors.
