Once again, a draft decision on the privatization of communal property was submitted for the session of Uzhgorod city council. It had been submitted for consideration several times, but each time it was postponed for review. The list includes quite attractive facilities in the center. Also, several premises, including old boiler rooms, are proposed for auction. And also, studios of known in the region artists and sculptors.
They have long been appealing tn the city hall to get the opportunity to become owners of their premises that they have been renting for dozens of years. Some deputies do not agree, saying that the studios must be given to young artists.
Also, the public were complaining that in the list of studios there are commercial facilities.
Due to attention of the public, the Mayor finally suggests to vote openly for every item separately. The deputies mostly suggest to grant requests of the artists and to put up old boiler houses for privatization through auction to give them new life.
The voting continues.
