According to the press service of the Uzhhorod City Council, a delegation from Uzhgorod headed by deputy mayor Oleksandr Bilak took part in the celebration of the Days of Satu-Mare, a Romanian twin city of the regional center of Transcarpathia. The celebrations began with a magnificent concert of the local symphony orchestra, then the head of Satu-Mare Gabor Kereskeny invited the guests, including those from the twin cities, to the main stage and congratulated everyone on the holiday. In addition to Uzhgorod, there were also delegations from the Hungarian Nyíregyháza, Polish Rzeszow. The Day of the City in Satu Mare is an event that regularly brings together thousands of people on the central square where the main celebrations are held. This year was no exception: musical bands of different genres performed on the big stage, performances of folk groups took place on the second stage, there was also a fair of crafts with the participation of masters from Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, a gastronomic fair, various sports and cultural events. Oleksandr Bilak sent regards from the Mayor of Uzhgorod Bohdan Andriyiv, wished all residents of Satu-Mare peace and prosperity, expressed his hope for fruitful further cooperation, including the continuation of work on joint grant projects, invited to the Day of Uzhgorod – this year, our city will celebrate the 1125th anniversary.
