Uzhgorod court employees tried to prevent people from going to the court room

Today, October 22, Uzhgorod City and District Court was supposed to continue hearing the case against Roman Sarkanych – police officers accuse him of allegedly willful disobedience of their lawful demands during the events on October 5, on Narodna Square in Uzhgorod.

As previously reported, after the first trial, Judge Oleksiy Lemesh sent the police report for clarification – the name of Mr. Sarkanych and address where he was detained were written incorrectly.

Now the case is pending at the Chairman of Uzhgorod City and District Court Vyacheslav Domnitsky. Interestingly, the majority of people were not present at the meeting, because in the reception of the court one of its employees would not let them in.

But those who ignored this instruction, were free to go to the office of the judge.

At the request of the defense, Vyacheslav Domnitsky adjourned the hearing of the case for October 24, at 08.30.

Another trial on a similar accusation against the activist Tomas Tomas will be considered in Uzhgorod City and District Court today at 15.45.
