Uzhgorod contributed to setting a world record for the biggest language lesson

On May 28, a mass interactive English lesson was held all over Ukraine. The event was organized in order to set a new record for the Guinness Book for which the lesson was to be attended by 9000 people. Webcams were installed in all the stated locations. In Uzhgorod, there were 5 of them, the main one was the Transcarpathian Regional Library, the prozahid.com reports.

The head of the service department of the Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library, Marianna Hrihash says, "We posted ads in the media, social media – everywhere we made a call, so to say, for people to come. We counted about 40 people in the audience. This is a good figure. It is important that not only Uzhgorod took part in the event, but also Velyky Berezny, Vynogradiv, Irshava and even the village of Dovhe in Irshava district."

The event was initiated by the Information and Resource Center "Window to America". The preparation for the lesson lasted more than two weeks, although it was planned back in the last year, since 2016 is declared the year of English language.

The lesson on one of the phrases in the English language (would rather) and its practical application lasted 45 minutes and started at 13:20.
