Uzhgorod City Hall “failed” the budget of 2013

In Uzhgorod, the authorities "failed" the performance of the city budget for 2013. The general fund of the city budget is filled by 90%, the shortfall to the city budget amounts to over 21 million hryvnias. The biggest shortfall is in required payments. Thus, shortfall in the tax on personal income amounts to 2.2 million hryvnias. According to the city tax service, as of January 1, 1144 entities in Uzhgorod have ceased to pay this tax at all. Moreover, the city entrepreneurs owe two million hryvnias of this tax. Also as of January 1, wage arrears in the city amount to more than 700,000 UAH.

The Department of Municipal Services also underperformed. The tax on income of city utilities last year decreased by 36.6%, the shortfall amounts to 251,000 UAH; regarding the land tax, the treasury received half a million less than planned. The shortfall of the rent for municipal property amounts to 589,000 UAH, payers of this tax owe 1,635,000 UAH.

Because of the provision of benefits on the rent for community property,

the city ​​budget lost 364,000 UAH.

Meanwhile, more than 15 million from the city budget was spent on maintenance of local self-government.
