“Ukrzaliznytsya” will be inform the police about the transportation of timber

The Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman is initiating large-scale inspections of forest enterprises for timber smuggling. He said that at the government meeting on Wednesday, the UNN reported.

"Today, I signed the appeal to the Prosecutor General with the information on such offenses. I propose to instruct the State Audit Service, the SFS, the National Police and the State Land Register to check the economic activity of all forestry companies of the country with specific data on the consignment notes: who signed them, who shipped, the names of those, who issued them, which customs authorities cleared, which checkpoints it was smuggled through", – Groysman said.

In addition, the head of the government said that yesterday he had signed a conclusion with the request to sign a law on the criminalization of timber smuggling.

To combat timber smuggling, the Ukrzaliznytsya will provide the police information on the transportation of timber.

"I have also given the relevant instructions to the "Ukrzaliznytsya". All documents will be scanned. The photos of all cars will be sent to the National Police and the SFS. The head of the Ukrainian railway will be responsible for this. So that everyone could see it online," – Groysman said, the UNN reported.
