The All-Ukrainian Population Census is planned for 2020

The Ukrainian government has finally agreed on the timing of the All-Ukrainian population census. It should take place between November and December 2020. This will be the second census since Ukraine’s independence.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk announced that at a briefing following the government meeting.

Honcharuk also said that the government plans to conduct a population census using online tools.

At the same time, the head of the government believes that the census can be performed out at a significantly less cost than UAH 3.4 billion (which is more than USD 40 million). This is the preliminary estimate.

Honcharuk suggested that it is possible to save money by engaging, for example, employees of the Ukrposhta and a number of other state organizations.
