Ukraine got the hint that it will not enter EU for another 30 years

Ukraine needs at least 30 years to make the necessary changes for European integration.

This was stated by a Polish politician, MEP Marek Siwiec at the meeting with students of Lugansk National University.

As UNIAN reported in the press service of the university, in his speech the Polish politician wasn’t very optimistic about the European future of Ukraine. "It’s important to follow the recommendations of EU", – stressed M.Sivets, discussing with students the prospects of Ukraine joining the European Union.

He also told the students about positive and negative results of Poland’s joining the EU. According to the Polish MEP, following the integration Poland became the EU’s leading agricultural producer, which brought 20% increase in export of Polish goods. But at the same time, other industries are going through a recession in Poland. "The whole European market is full of our goods but we do not manufacture cars or computers," – said M.Sivets.

Note. M.Sivets – MEP, Former Secretary of the office of the Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski, the head of the Polish Friends of the Center for Perss Peace Association, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Yalta European Strategy Fund.
