The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has awarded the scholarships of the President of Ukraine to the winners of the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiads and the III stage of the All-Ukrainian Contest-Defense of Research Papers of the Students of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the 2017/2018 academic year, who showed the best results.
Among them, there are 7 Transcarpathians, including two students of Uzhgorod schools. In particular, those are: Valeria Shebela, a student of the classical gymnasium (II place at the Ukrainian language and literature competition) and Veronika Khlanta, a student of the secondary school № 6 (I place at the geography competition).
The scholarship of the President of Ukraine will be paid out by the National Center "Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" monthly for the year from September 1, 2018 to September 1, 2019, at the expense of the funds provided for the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the State Budget of Ukraine for 2018 and 2019.
