Two ATO participants from Transcarpathia will be awarded the Order of "National Hero of Ukraine".
Among them, there is Taras Ponomarenko, soldier of the 128th separate mountain infantry brigade, now patrol police inspector of Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, who became famous in Ukraine after he together with other soldiers had captured a Russian tank and driven it to the Ukrainian territory.
And also a surgeon of the same brigade Oleksandr Danyluk, who is now working in Uzhgorod city hospital. Both fighters have saved many lives of their fellow soldiers. Both have been in the toughest battles near Debaltseve.
The orders will be awarded at the 14th ceremony of the "National Hero of Ukraine" awarding.
It will take place on Saturday, March 26, at 12.00, in the Regional Philharmonic in Chernivtsi. Soldiers, medics, volunteers and a chaplain will be awarded. In total, 24 Ukrainians will be awarded, three of them – posthumously, – the correspondent of IA ZIK informs.
