Two men made their way into a wood processing plant in the city of Svalyava. They had a cart. They loaded it with firewood that belonged to the company. However, the theft was prevented by the police.
The men were already heading towards the exit, but they did not manage to leave the territory of the enterprise unnoticed.
A joint group of the Mukachevo Department of the Protection Police and the Svalyava Police Department was patrolling the city. Driving past the plant, they noticed the men with a cart full of firewood. They seemed suspicious to the policemen and, as it turned out, for a good reason.
The men took the firewood without legal permission.
The men were detained. As it turned out, they were local residents aged 21 and 19.
The stolen wood was returned to the plant, and the suspects were taken to the police station.
The amount of material damage is being established. The investigation continues.
