The delegation of Turkmenistan SFM project visited the region. Representatives of the distant Central Asian country in several districts studied the expertise of forestry and environmental organizations.
As the representative of the NGO FORZA Natalia Voloshin told, the visit of the representatives of the Turkmenistan Sustainable Forestry Development Project, funded by the German Office for Cooperation GIZ, was interesting and mutually beneficial. A week-long program of Turkmen foresters and local communities visit engulfed much of our region – from Velyky Berezny and Perechyn districts to Rachiv: territories of the Uzhok National Park and Carpathian Biosphere Reservation, Hust, Rakhiv and Velyky Bychkiv forestry enterprises.
Members of the visit were especially interested in such basic elements of sustainable tourism as a rural estates, environmental and educational trails, themed and mountain hiking trails, CBR mountain ecology museum and catering services of the traditional border area cuisine, tourism and recreational items, tourist shelter, etc.
