Tripartite dialogue took place in the Transcarpathian regional employment center

In the Transcarpathian Regional Employment Center, there was a trilateral dialogue between the government, trade unions and employers on social protection of employees

August 27, 2014, in the meeting room of the Transcarpathian regional employment center, there was a seminar-training for managers of enterprises (institutions, organizations), heads of sectoral trade unions and employers’ organizations on "Social dialogue – the main instrument of social protection of workers."

The seminar was opened by the director of the Transcarpathian regional employment center Yuriy Fushchych. In his speech, he stressed the importance of this event and the importance of social dialogue at the present stage of the state development.

The first deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Andriy Serbaylo noted that during a gradual reduction of staff at enterprises of the region, the expected reduction of the state apparatus, trade unions would be playing an important part in order to prevent cases of unjustified dismissals. He urged employers to conduct a socially responsible business. 

Specialists of the Transcarpathian Regional Employment Center also spoke at the seminar. Vasyl Holinka, the deputy head of the legal department told about the correct application of certain articles of the Labour Code and noted some mistakes made by employers in dismissal of their employees.

Svitlana Rusich, the deputy head of the department for promotion of employment and providing services to employers described in detail the procedure of registration of citizens in search of work, the provision of unemploymed status and financial support during the registration. Petro Foltyn, the deputy head of the same department told about the Procedure for granting benefit for partial unemployment, as amended by the Decree of the Ministry of Social Policy number 468 dd. 15.07.2014.

The seminar participants actively participated in the discussion and expressed their opinions on the need for such measures at the regional and base levels.
