As of mid-August, the General Directorate of the State Treasury in Transcarpathian region owed local budgets more than 82 million hryvnias under protected items.
The biggest debt was to Tyachiv district residents – more than 13 million. The debt to the community of Mukachevo is 10 million, the debt to Uzhgorod is half of that.
The smallest debt is in Velyky Berezny district – just under two million. The Treasury currently pays only salaries.
The money to pay for medicines and food in hospitals, to pay for energy is allocated with considerable delay.
