On Tuesday, March 21, we were lucky enough to visit the Newseum in Kyiv. We have heard a lot about this ambitious exhibition project that is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the TSN. It turned out that in order to get to the museum one has to wait in the line for quite a while.
We paid 60 hryvnia for the ticket and entered the exhibition space "Art Arsenal". Visitors are met by the "heart" of the record aircraft An-225 "Mriya" – an element of an engine weighing more than 6 tons and with the height of 3.5 m.
And inside, on the area 3,400 square meters (!), in several huge halls, you can see how news are made, see more than 100 unique exhibits from the modern history of Ukraine. According to our observations, young people mosly like to try on the roles of hosts and reporters. There are several guides who work with groups.
There are also exhibits associated with historical events. In particular, you can see the legendary eight-meter-long flag that Vyacheslav Chornovil and his colleagues brought to the hall of the Verkhovna Rada on August 24, 1991. Since that day, the most famous yellow and blue flag has never left the walls of the Parliament.
Using virtual reality goggles, you can get on the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada or the front. And also, to vote on significant events in our history, and make your own top 10 of the most important news of Ukraine.
You still have time to see everything with your own eyes, but only until Sunday, March 26. The project closes on that day. Maybe they should do something like that in Transcarpathia?!
