Transcarpathians’ debts for gas are still increasing

Since the beginning of 2017, the debts for natural gas consumed by the population of Transcarpathian region have increased by 2.3 times, and as of July 1, 2017, amount to UAH 1.4 billion. At the same time, almost UAH 760 million of subsidies has not been financed from the state budget. For comparison: the debts for the gas consumed by the population of the region for the same period last year amounted to UAH 831.2 million with non-financed state subsidies amounting to UAH 602.06 million. 

During the first half of 2017, over 1.2 thousand household consumers in the region, whose total debts amount to UAH 11.6 million, were disconnected from gas supply. As of July of this year, more than 10.9 thousand consumers have been warned about possible termination of gas supply and more than 440 cases have been transferred to courts for debt collection.
