Transcarpathians are being paid compensation for flood-damaged houses

This was announced today during a briefing by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov. 
According to the head of the regional state administration, the total amount of losses sustained in Transcarpathia as a result of the June flood reaches 338 million hryvnias. 
"For the destroyed public property alone, we asked the government 179 million," – Petrov added. 
According to him, under the order of the Cabinet of Ministers ("On the allocation of funds from the reserve fund of the state budget for emergency relief measures" dd. July 2, 2020), Transcarpathia received 30 million hryvnias. Some of these funds will primarily be used to pay compensation to the citzens for destroyed, damaged houses and so on. 
According to this document, at the expense of the allocated funds, financial assistance to the affected population will be allocated by categories to ensure proper living conditions. The first category includes the owners of residential buildings, which are completely destroyed, they will receive 300 thousand hryvnias per family. The second category includes families who have been evicted from residential buildings subject to major repairs – 50 thousand hryvnias per family, the third category includes families whose houses are damaged – 20 thousand hryvnias per family. 
"It is estimated that Mizhhirya and Rakhiv districts will receive UAH 6 million. Today I signed an order to the district treasury to transfer the money," – Petrov said.
