Transcarpathian winemakers have received access to the market

"Today, the President signed the law abolishing the rule, according to which wine producers had to pay 500,000 UAH for the license for wholesale trade – MP Robert Horvat reported on his Facebook page. –

Earlier, in 2015, I repeatedly stressed that the unsettled legal framework in relation to small winemakers made it impossible for them to compete at the market. This legislative change is just one step towards the full development of the wine business in Ukraine. As I pointed out in my interview, there is still plenty of work to do. Our task is to deregulate the old Soviet standards, which in the current market conditions are killers for small private entrepreneurs."

Recall that the Law 2739, which significantly simplifies the activities of private winemakers, was voted by the Verkhovna Rada on September 20.

This innovation is of particular importance for our region. "I sincerely believe that we should follow such wine producers, as France, where 40 to 50 million hectoliters, or 7.8 billion bottles of wine is produced annually. The revenue from the sale of wine (as of 2008) amounted to 6.7 billion euros, 60,000 wineries are engaged in the industry," – Robert Horvat concludes.
