Transcarpathian rescuers help even on holidays

The story of two tourists from Lviv region who got lost on January 7 in the Carpathians had a Christmas happy end. And it could have been worse if it wasn’t for the mountain rescuers…
Thus, yesterday, at 4.30pm, the tourists (a woman born in 1994 and a man born in 1982) called to the Transcarpathian Rescue Service and reported that they had gotten lost near the Hemba Mountain in Mizhhirya district. At 6.30pm, rescuers of the mountain search and rescue department from the village of Nyzhni Vorota in Volovets district found tourists and brought them to their lodging in the village of Pylypets in Mizhhirya district. They did not need medical help.
