At 11.00 am, on Friday (3.02), the most difficult situation is in the valley of the Bila Tisa river (Rakhiv district). In villages of Vydrychka, Roztoky and Bohdan, several ice jams formed with a huge number of blocks. The jams are increasing and may lead to the river breaking out of the banks and flooding houses.
Near the village of Dilove on the Tisa, the ice jam has reached two kilometers in length. Rescuers have sent to Rakhiv district pyrotechnics crew to blow up the jams and clear river channels. Since the morning, pyrotechnics have been working in Tyachiv, Svalyava and Irshava districts, where ice jams were formed too.
In Mukachevo district, the situation with overflow of the river Vyznytsya in the village of Kolchino and Klynovets has been taken under control. Using tracked vehicles, the water was sent back into the channel, vehicular traffic on local roads resumed.
