The investigators found out that one of the foreigners detained near the Ukrainian-Hungarian border was the organizer of the transportation of illegal migrants. According to the investigator, the foreigner took five illegal migrants from the city of Beregovo and accompanied them to the checkpoint "Vilok", where they were supposed to cross the state border illegally on their own. On the other side of the border – in Hungary – the organizer was supposed to pick them up and take them to the Czech Republic. The man was to receive 2 thousand dollars for this service.
Recall that on November 14, near the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, border guards of the checkpoint "Vilok" detained illegal migrants. Five men, who were not carrying any documents, were citizens of a foreign state. A citizen of the EU was detained with them.
Then, Vynogradiv policemen opened a criminal proceeding over illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine.
The detained illegal migrants were taken to the Mukachevo border guard detachment. The foreigner was notified of being suspected of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine). The court imposed on him a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention. The investigation continues.
