The appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding the distribution of the stabilization subsidy and the allocation of additional funds to Transcarpathian region to pay off the wage arrears was approved today by the deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council during the plenary meeting of the session.
The initiator of the appeal was the deputy of the Regional Council, Secretary of the Budget Commission Miroslav Biletsky.
According to the authors of the appeal, the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration has repeatedly informed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine about the lack of financial resources for payment of wages to public sector employees of the region in 2017 and the need to allocate additional resources from the state budget for these payments.
Thus, more than 110 million hryvnias is required by the end of this year to ensure payment of wages to public sector employees.
"Today, additional resources of local budgets have been exhausted and it is impossible to find such funds by the end of the year," – the statement reads.
According to the initiators of the appeal, at present, the region is facing an extremely critical situation with payment to education and health care sector workers.
