Transcarpathian deputies ask to speed up the extension of powers of local government in land management

During the plenary meeting of the fourth session, to be held on Thursday, July 28 this year, deputies of the Transcarpathian regional council plan to support the draft appeal to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, in which they ask the MPs to speed up the adoption in the second reading of the draft Law of Ukraine "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the extension of powers of local government in land management and strengthening of the state control over land use and protection" (registration number 4355 of 31.03.2016).

The document states that "in April 2016, the Parliament of Ukraine adopted in the first reading the draft Law of Ukraine "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the extension of powers of local government in land management and strengthening of the state control over land use and protection" (reg. number 4355 of 31.03.2016) submitted by People’s Deputies of Ukraine Kutovy TV, Kulinich AI, Lunchenko VV and others, which provides for the transfer of powers for the disposal of state property lands outside the settlements (except for defense lands, nature reserve lands, and other lands of state importance) to village, town and city councils as delegated powers.

Given the importance of the matter, please expedite the consideration and adoption in the second reading of the draft Law of Ukraine "On amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding the extension of powers of local government in land management and strengthening of the state control over land use and protection" (reg. number 4355 of 31.03.2016)," – the draft appeal published on the website of the Regional Council reads.
