Employees of Transcarpathian Customs prevented an export of a significant amount of tobacco products from Ukraine. The offense was revealed at the customs post "Dyakovo" of the Transcarpathian Customs. A Ukrainian citizen tried to illegally transport tobacco products in a truck.
According to the documents submitted for the customs control, he was carrying sawn timber from Ukraine to Romania.
During the analysis of the customs control documents, customs officers decided to carry out a full customs inspection of the vehicle and the cargo. Consequently, they found tobacco products hidden from customs control, which were in the double bottom of the truck.
At present, timber is being unloaded, the number of the cigarettes is being established and a report on violation of the customs rules is being drawn up.
