Transcarpathian border guards found 400 packs of cigarettes in a truck

Last night, another batch of contraband tobacco products was found by border guards of the Chop detachment together with employees of the customs at the checkpoint "Tisa".

The truck "Renault" driven by a 38-year-old citizen of Ukraine was following through the checkpoint "Tisa" to Hungary. However, upon arrival at the border and customs control, during the inspection, law enforcement officers suspected illegal activities. As a result, border guards decided to carefully examine the said vehicle together with representatives of the customs.

In the course of the in-depth inspection, in the semitrailer, namely in the bottom of two tool boxes, border guards found hidden 400 packs of cigarettes "Winston" and "Marlboro Gold".

The contraband tobacco products were seized and estimated at over 9,000 UAH. Relevant procedural documents were drawn up against the offender.
