Transcarpathian bears excelled at the tournament in the Czech Republic

   The Transcarpathian national hockey team this weekend began the new hockey season with the participation at the International Tournament in the Czech city of Klášterec nad Ohří. 12 teams from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Finland and Russia gathered there to compete for the main trophy.

         The team of Transcarpathia (representative of Ukraine in the tournament) began competition with an unexpected victory over last year’s champion of this tournament HC "Profi" from Kosice (Slovak Republic). The match finished at the minimum lead of 3:2 in favor of our time. On the same day, the Transcarpathians beat the Czech team HC “Lysa” 5:4 and placed the first in the group (6 points).

         However, the next day the "Transcarpathian train" was stopped by the Finns.  In the semi-final, the Bears lost to HC “Popula” 6:1, who also defeated all teams in their group, and in the match for the 3rd place lost to Czech team HC “Emotion” with the score 5:3.

         Thus, 4th place among 12 teams.
