The exhibition of paintings by the artist from Transcarpathia Odarka Dolgosh "Portraits from the Past" opened in the small hall of the Carpathian Museum of Art, the Zakarpattya.online informs. In pastel and relief techniques, the artist combines old family photos with crucifixions, huts and trees of Transcarpathia.
According to the artist, she reproduced in the paintings the photos of her family tree members – great-grandmother, great-grandfather. Thus, the new series was born. Later, she began to add not only portraits but also images from the past – abandoned houses, streets and crucifixions that can be seen in Transcarpathia.
The exhibition features 22 works by Odarka Dolgosh. Among them, there are several diptychs and triptychs.
The exhibition will run until November 22, the Ivano-Frankivsk regional weekly "Reporter" informs.
