Transcarpathia to cooperate with the Romanians

On Tuesday, June 26, Deputy Chairman of Regional State Administration Volodymyr Prikhodko met the president of Romanian Parliament Committee on Ethics Georgiy Barlea and the president of a construction company "Unio" Viorel Zoykas.

Transcarpathian region is interested in cooperation with Romania. The proof of this is the agreement on interregional cooperation between Transcarpathian region and Republic of Maramuresh, Romania, which was signed in 2001. Also since 2008, an Agreement on economic, commercial, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between Transcarpathia and Satu Mare has been in force. During the meeting Vladimir Prikhodko stressed on the importance of international cooperation and joint projects with Romania.

In his turn, Georgiy Barlea expressed support from the side of Romania in the European integration of Ukraine and noted that Transcarpathian region is an attractive investment region for Romanian entrepreneurs.

Now the Agreement on economic, trade, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation between Transcarpathian region and the county of Maramures (Romania) is being prepared to sign – says the press center of Regional State Administration.
