Transcarpathia needs brand and advertising

This is the conclusion of the meeting at the RSA, where they analyzed the results of tourism industry for the last year.

According to the press service, the main positive achievement is a stable growth of interest in our region. Thus, last year, according to official statistics, over 355,000 visitors received tourist services (in 2012 this figure reached 342,000). The total volume of tourist services also increased. In the hryvnia equivalent it reached 334 million.

However, Transcarpathia still needs to improve the level of service, enhance advertising work in other regions of Ukraine and abroad. To this end, the Department of Housing, Building and Infrastructure plans to astablish a tender committee and hold a tender to determine the tourism brand of the region. In addition, they plan to set up several dozen advertising billboards on major highways of the country. Including, in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, Odesa, Mykolaiv and other regions.
