Toy planes were seized at the customs post “Tisa”

Employees of the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian customs seized from a foreigner sets of plastic parts for toy plane models.

The incident occurred at night, October 30, when a Romanian drove at the customs post, returning from the United Kingdom (the city of London), where he had been for private matters. The citizen, who chose the "red corridor" procedure of customs control, was asked to fill out a customs declaration in which he stated his passport details, information about the vehicle and the presence of the baggage – twenty travel bags.

During the customs control of the Romanian/s car, employees of the customs post, in addition to the bags, found the goods not listed in the customs declaration and not declared during the oral survey, namely: sets of plastic parts for toy model airplanes "AIRFIX" (133 pcs.); sets of tools for modeling "Humbrol" (6 pcs.); special plastic mats for modeling "Humbrol" (30 pcs.); paint for modeling of different colors, packed in different containers "Humbrol" (450 pcs.); glue for modeling, packaged in 10 ml containers "Humbrol" (120 pcs.); paint thinner that is used for modeling packaged in 125 ml containers (24 pcs.) The total weight of the found goods was 74 kg.

According to the citizen, he was carrying the goods at the request of a woman who is temporarily residing in London. He had to deliver them to her relatives in Ukraine.

Thus, the foreigner failed to properly declare accurate information about the goods being moved by him across the customs border of Ukraine that in the given amount are subject to a written declaration and taxation (Part 4 of 374 of the Customs Code of Ukraine).

These actions have signs of violation of customs rules under Art. 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Based on Article 511 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, a report was made, under which the above goods were seized, their evaluation will be performed later, with the assistance of a specialist.
