Like the last year, uzhgorod.in tried to gather all the main beauties of the region.
On the Saint Nicholas Day, December 19, hundreds of children gathered in Uzhgorod, where there was the traditional solemn ignition of the lights on the main Christmas tree of Transcarpathia. By the way, the 20 meter high green beauty has grown near the village of Kelechyn in Mizhhirya district.
A few hours earlier, with the participation of almost a thousand little Mikolajczyks, three thousand holiday lights started shining on the main beauty of Uzhgorod. The 13 meter high tree was given to the city by a resident of Ivan Vash street. As in previous years, this year’s Christmas tree was decorated with New Year’s decorations, including ornaments made by school students of the city.
The main beauty of Mukachevo was decorated on December 15. However, its lights were lit also on December 19. As in Uzhgorod, the decorations were made by children as well.
On St. Nicholas Day, the green beauty started solemnly shining in Velyky Berezny. According to the correspondent Ivan Kuzovych, almost ten meters high white fir tree was chosen by foresters in the tract Liskovets of Volosyanka Forestry. The decorations for it were also made by students of local schools.
December 19, festive lights started shining on Christmas trees in Rakhiv and Chop.
An 18 meters high tree decorated the main square of Vynogradiv.
This year for the first time in Irshava they installed an artificial Christmas tree of 12 meters height and with the lowest tier of more than 5 meters in diameter. They commenced to mount it on 18th of December. The next day they decorated it. Christmas lights were solemnly lit on December 25. As you can see in the photo, the celebration was loud! The opening of the New Year tree was preceded by theatrical performance prepared by local high school students. After that, the tree broke with colored lights.
The tree that settled in the center of Khust, was presented by the head of one of the local businesses, and 112 decorations were made by pupils of schools and kindergartens.
In Tyachiv there also was a cheerful and happy celebration on the same occasion.
Late last week, the main beauty was set in Volovets.
As uzhgorod.in found out, in Svalyava and Perechyn for several years they have been decorating for the holidays fur trees growing in the center of the town.
