This year’s Book-Fest will be held on May 16-17 (ANNOUNCEMENT)

On May 16-17, the "Book-Fest-2018" exhibition will take place in the architectural and historical complex "Owl’s Nest".

Uzhgorod book festival, which presents new releases of the Transcarpathian publishers, attracts writers and publishers from outside the region, for the first time will last for two days. This year the exhibition will be held in cooperation with the SlobodaKult Forum, which represents the culture of Slobozhanshchyna.

Ten Transcarpathian publishing houses and guests from Lviv, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, Kyiv, and Kharkiv will take part in the festival.  

The rich presentation program will be interesting for both adults and children. The guests of the book festival will meet with Oksana Lutsyshyna, Oleksandr Havrosh, Serhiy Synyuk, Andriy Lyubka, Volodymyr Shovkoshytny, Lydia Povkh, Galina Malik, Serhiy Fedaka, Slovak writers and others. Thanks to the "SlobodaKult" forum, Serhiy Zhadan, Yevhen Polozhii and others will come to Uzhgorod.

The exhibition will be open on May 16 from 14:00 to 20:00, and on May 17 from 10:00 to 18:00.

During the festival, the best books in fourteen nominations will be selected.

The organizers are the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the Uzhgorod City Council, the Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, the Transcarpathian Regional Organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, NGO "Association of Librarians of Transcarpathia"
