The holiday in the village of Mynai in Uzhgorod district, planned to last for two days, apparently "fitted" into one day of Saturday.
Organizers admit that it was not too good idea to start the holiday on Saturday. Whether because of the heat, or because of hard-working Transcarpathian people’s custom to work on Saturday, but the official opening of the festival, scheduled for 17.00, was postponed for almost 2 hours due to lack of viewers. And they kept coming alsmost until late night.
Despite not very high earnings of local chefs, the festival nevertheless was a success: satisfied children’s faces, lively dancing late into the night, colorful fireworks – all obligatory attributes of the birthday party in Transcarpathia were there.
As for the concert program, it deserves a special mention. The audience enjoyed the performances of the local schools students, talented villages and their children and, of course, the neighbors – bright ladies from the village of Kontsovo.
