The Israeli Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) has completed the development of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus vaccine and is preparing for mass production. This was announced by Israeli Defense Minister Naftali Bennett, The Australian Jewish News reported.
He said that during a visit to the institute’s laboratory, he was shown "an antibody that attacks the virus in a monoclonal way" and can neutralize it in the body of an infected person.
According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the development of the vaccine has been completed and now the institute is waiting for a patent for its invention, after which it will appeal to international companies about the production of antibodies on a large scale.
The statement from the Israeli Defense Ministry did not specify whether the vaccine had been tested on humans.
